History of Pizza - From Italy to Greece to the US

Most people believe that pizza originated from Italy. But Greeks are credited with inventing the very first "edible plate." Their Flat Bread was engrossed in oil, spices, and dates. Tomatoes weren't discovered yet. The Romans also designed a type of long, narrow pizza they sold through the meter.

Pizza as we know it had been an invention of baker Raffael Esposito. He cooked three kinds of pizza for that King and Queen of Italy, Umberto I and Margherita di Savoia.
